Hi. We’re Jen and Joel. We understand this is likely a difficult time for you and we appreciate you reading more about us as you make the decision if we might be the right family for you.

We’ve been a couple for 13 years and have been married for 9 years. We have a very loving, strong and open relationship that is based upon friendship and respect. Our family includes our two year old daughter, Nora, who we adopted as an infant through Adoption Options and our seven year old dog, Bentley.

We love to spend time together and value the time we have as a family. We feel blessed to be parents and appreciate the gift of Nora’s birthparents each day and look forward to adding to our family through adoption.

We value education, creativity, humor, diversity and empathy and work to instill those values in our family. Quality time together is very important to us and we love to go on regular outings to the zoo, museums and to explore the outdoors. Our family enjoys traveling and one of our first trips as a family was to Costa Rica. We look forward to quite a bit more travel in our future as we explore the world with our children.

Joel is a very involved and nurturing father. He is very playful, patient and loving. His specialties include building forts, creating tunnels, making trains in the living room out of dining room furniture and giving the best raspberries (which he calls buzzers).

Jennifer loves to do activities including going to the zoo, exploring on nature walks or just hanging out in the backyard and talking about all of the different wildlife that comes to visit. Jennifer’s specialties are making up songs to sing, cooking, picking fresh produce in the garden and spending time rocking and talking about the activities of the day.

Joel works as a computer programmer and Jennifer has worked in nonprofits including with at-risk youth, at a children’s hospital and in an animal shelter. We both have our bachelor’s degrees and Jennifer has a master’s degree in nonprofit management. Education is very important to us and we encourage learning and reading each day.

Hi there!  We are George and Debby!  We live our lives by the three F’s: Faith, Family, & Fun!!  As this is our 2^nd adoption, we know how difficult this decision can be.  Please know that our child’s birthmother will hold the most cherished spot in our hearts & we will be as open or as closed as you’d like to be.

We live in a wonderful community and are extremely close to our family and friends.  We were able to work out our schedules so that when our daughter isn’t in pre-school, one of us is always home with her.  We cherish our time together and cannot wait for our family to grow!

To help you get to know us, here are some fun facts about our family:

George (a.k.a. Papa Georgio):

• LOVES the BRONCO’S!  It’s a serious obsession – I think he bleeds orange and blue!
• Wishes it was still 1985.  He grew up in the ‘80’s and misses the music, the movies, and most of all…his mullet!
• Is teaching our daughter to be a WWE wrestler.  They are always on the floor trying to pin each other…Sophie’s getting pretty good!
• Is proud of his position at a large retail store.  It is a great company, and he takes pride in helping customers and doing the best job possible – he was even Employee of the Month.
• Is an amazing Daddy – he loves his baby girl to pieces and can’t wait to add another wrestling partner to the mix.

Debby (a.k.a Mama-cita):

• Secretly wants to be Martha Stewart.  I love cooking, decorating, & crafting.  I live for the holidays when I get to redecorate (George just rolls his eyes!)
• Speaks French! J’adore parler francais!!  Someday….I will go to France…I will…I will!
• I LOVE MY JOB!  (I know…who says that?)  I work with at-risk teens, teaching them the skills they need to get to college.  They are amazing kids who just need someone to believe in them…and I do!!
• Adoption is my passion.  I’ve started an adoption ministry at our church, and am part of a group that supports parents with African-American children.  I will talk to ANYONE about adoption….ANYWHERE!  Seriously!  (Again, George rolls his eyes)
• I adore my daughter!  She is the funniest, smartest, most challenging girl I know.  She makes me a better person, and I can’t wait to see how our next child changes me.

Sophie (a.k.a. The Sophster):

• Was adopted in 2008.  Both her Mommy and Daddy witnessed her birth & she’s been the joy of their lives ever since!
• Is SUPER smart!  She loves learning in pre-school, playing computer games, and blows her Mommy and Daddy away with the things she learns!
• Has an obsession with Spongebob…I think she bleeds yellow!
• Loves her extended family and friends – including her birthmom, who she speaks to at least once a week.
• Loves all the activities we do as a family – hiking, swimming, crafting, movies, and church.
• Can’t wait to become a BIG Sister!  Although in her mind she’s going to be more like the little mommy.
• Is plotting world domination……..

We met in the fall of 2002 while attending college and Colorado State University (CSU), and we were married in the summer of 2006. We knew early in our relationship that we wanted to adopt a child, and a few years after we were married, we found out that we have fertility problems. To us it was an indication that adoption was always the right path for us to build our family.

We love animals and have two dogs, a cat ,and two ducks. All of our animals are great around children and the dogs always accompany us on hikes in the mountains around our home. We both enjoy athletics and doing anything in the outdoors such as hiking, fishing, camping, rock climbing, and boating. We also love to travel at every opportunity.

Matt grew up in a small town and received a bachelors degree in Wildlife Biology and a masters degree in Rangeland Management. He is currently employed as a Rangeland Management Specialist and manages livestock grazing, and fights wildland fires. He is also an assistant high school basketball coach and is the head middle school basketball coach.

Nicole was also born and raised in a small town and received her bachelors degree in Health and Exercise Science from CSU. She is currently employed as a Recreation Manager at our local recreation and park district. In her position, she is in charge of planning and organizing all adult and youth sporting activities.

Leigh is a Colorado native, and Greg is from New Hampshire. While growing up Leigh enjoyed playing tennis, and traveling with her family (who still live in Colorado). Greg was very involved with sports, both baseball and skiing. While Greg’s family still lives in New Hampshire, we have the opportunity to see them often.

It wasn’t without lots of prayer and reflection that we came to the decision to adopt. Due to health considerations, Leigh’s doctor advised us that having a child could be harmful for both her and the baby. Following that news, we never hesitated to pursue adoption. We feel that we are blessed to have this amazing opportunity to raise a child, and we are eager to start our family.

Through this process, we have been supported by both family and friends, who are all excited to join us in welcoming a new addition to our family. As you make this decision, know we will provide your child with every opportunity and unconditional love. Thank you again for your consideration.

Hi!  We’re Melissa and Joe.  We first met in the summer of 2000 and we both immediately fell madly in love.  Over a decade later, we’re still falling in love with each other every day.  We have been married since 2005 and we live a very happy and peaceful life in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

We both work in technical fields and enjoy the challenge of our jobs, but our true passions lie outside the walls of our offices.  We both share a deep love of music and the outdoors, so we often find ourselves dancing at a concert, snowboarding in the Rockies and hiking near our home with our sweetheart pup, a black lab named Tela.   

We are both extremely excited to bring our first child into our home soon.  Ever since we started dating, we talked about how much it would mean to us to adopt a child.  We didn’t know that life would lead us in this direction at the time, yet it always felt like something we wanted to do.  Our hearts and home are filled with love and compassion, and we’re looking forward to the day we can share this with our little one. 

We welcome an open adoption if that’s something you’re interested in.  We plan to always share this child’s Life Story with him/her, and to celebrate adoption as a loving and normal way to create a family.  You are a very important part of this child’s life and we’d love to include you in this story and in their life, with your blessing and to the extent you’re comfortable with.  We deeply appreciate the decisions you are making as you create a loving adoption plan for your baby.

While we cannot truly imagine how difficult of a decision this must be for you, we are in awe of the love, courage and strength that it must be taking for you to consider your options. We are very grateful you are reading this and considering us as potential parents for your child.

Our names are Shawn and Tamra and since you are considering placing your gift in our arms, we are compelled to give you a picture of who we are and what type of life we would love to share with your child. We met in high school and have been together for over twenty five years, recently celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.   

Our relationship has always been very natural and we enjoy the loving partnership that we have developed through the years. We have also been blessed to share the last fifteen years with our four legged best friend Tasha, our Lhasa Apso Poodle mix.

Both of us are Colorado natives and enjoy all things typical of an active Colorado lifestyle. While we enjoy what we do for a living and are grateful that our careers have allowed us to live a comfortable life, we definitely work to live and not the other way around. We share a love of just about all things outdoors. We especially love cycling of all types including riding to work most days. Our free time is also spent hiking, camping, running, skiing, working in our gardens, taking Tasha on walks along the river path and just enjoying our small mountain community. We are fortunate to live across from a beautiful park where we play boche ball, toss the frisbee and watch kids of all ages playing and celebrating life.  

We have many friends, some of whom have grown children already and many just starting their families now. We look forward to sharing our love of life with a child and introducing him or her to our friends and family. We will give more opportunities and experiences rather than things. We will teach them to be honest, polite, loving, caring and to have respect for all. Our belief in caring for and respecting our planet will also be shared with them. We are excited to have a child teach us things we cannot even imagine right now. We know they will be and endless source of joy, laughter, wonderment and love. Of course there will be difficult times as well and we promise to work together through those times with patience, love and care.

We are all looking forward to expanding our family, and Johnnie keeps telling us how excited he is to be a big brother someday.  We also wanted to express our gratitude that you (the birthparent) might consider us – we know that this is not easy for you…finding a family (the right family) – and to raise your child to be a happy, successful and caring person.

We’ve been incredibly lucky with having a family, from sisters, to brothers, to grandparents, in-laws, and even our fuzzy little pets – to be very close, and to want to spend time together, as a family.  We are also very fortunate that everyone has been so supportive of us, and excited about our decision and desire to adopt.

As for David and Joelle, and Johnnie, well, we are sort of the goofballs in the family.  We have an off-beat sense of humor, and that has rubbed off on our little guy, who has become quite a comedian.  We laugh a lot as a family, and we seek out all that is positive and wonderful in the world, and in our little corner of it.

Hi there!  My name is Jill and my husband’s name is Miles.   Thank you for taking the time to read about us.  We know the choice you are making is not a simple one and we commend your courage. 

Miles and I have been married for seven years and have a relationship that is close and supportive.  We are best friends. We are a friendly and happy couple that enjoys spending time with our family.  We love to laugh and lead an established, active and fun-loving life.  We have always wanted to be parents and when having a biological child did not become a reality for us, we fully embraced adoption as our path to parenthood.  We cannot wait to nurture, teach and simply pour ourselves into the life of a child.

Miles is a kind, calm and reserved man who opens up easily when involved in conversation.  He is 5’ 10” with sky blue eyes and blonde hair.  He has a mixture of Irish, French and Polish ancestry.  He and his seven siblings were raised on the East Coast until moving to Colorado when Miles was 14 years old.  Almost all of Miles’ family members live nearby and we maintain a close relationship with them. Miles drives locally for a trucking company and takes pride in his work. He loves outdoor activities including riding motorcycles, camping and waterskiing.  Miles is very excited about the prospect of parenting a child together.

I would describe myself as a friendly, outgoing and fun person.  I am 5’7” with blue-green eyes and blonde hair.  I am of Dutch and English heritage.  I was born and raised in Colorado and absolutely love it here.  I enjoy my work as the Office Manager/Sales Rep for an exotic pet wholesaler for the past 11 years.  Like Miles, my interests include spending time outdoors and with my family.  I particularly enjoy camping and boating trips that include water sports.  I have deeply wanted to be a mom my whole life and cannot wait to welcome a child into our lives.

We live in a beautiful mountain community just outside the Denver metro area.  Our city affords us terrific access to outdoor activities along with good schools, medical care and other community resources.  I like to spend time decorating our house and feel it is a warm, inviting home.  We have two Shih Tzu dogs who we absolutely adore.  They are a big part of our family.  We have an extremely large backyard, a recreation room in our detached garage and plan on building a playhouse outside.

We are ready and eager to become parents.  We plan to offer a child unconditional love, protection, wisdom and fun.  We wish to have a close, expressive, affectionate and open relationship with our child.  We look forward to teaching a child everything we can.  We believe that our home will always be a safe, loving, stable environment.  Our child will undoubtedly be surrounded by a caring and devoted extended family as well.

Hello! Elizabeth and I are so excited at the prospect of adopting a child, and we are thrilled and grateful for your generosity in considering us for your child. We believe that raising a child is the ultimate act of love, and we admire the courage and love that it must take for you to consider adoption for your child. For us, the prospect of another mind and soul to share our family, and share our love for each other, is the only direction in which our present family joy would ever need to grow.

Both of us were born and raised in Colorado. Elizabeth in North Denver, and Mark in Denver, and, later, Ft. Collins. Elizabeth grew up with seven brothers and two loving and devoted parents. Elizabeth has pursued her career as a nurse since high school. She works with transplant patients. One of the blessings of her job has been her opportunity to work from home, which will allow Elizabeth to also be a homemaker and the parent at home with our prospective adoptive child.

Mark also grew up with seven siblings, and he considers himself to have been blessed with six beautiful sisters. Mark has been an attorney for seventeen years, working with families in all aspects of family law. Mark went back to finish law school at night to complete his passion for the law, while he worked full-time supporting himself.  Both of us enjoy art, music, and, most importantly, our close and loving relationship with our respective families.

The devotion our families is one of the primary reasons that we are adopting, and need to adopt. In addition to her career, Elizabeth spent over sixteen years helping her Father cope with and beat cancer. Elizabeth’s devotion to care for her parents, and Mark’s devotion to his career were the reasons that we delayed children in our lives. We are delighted at the prospect of adding a child now, and hope and believe that our relative maturity in our lives will allow us to be better, more devoted and more capable parents for our prospective adoptive child.

Elizabeth and I have active and vibrant lives, filled with our love for each other, supported by the love of our enormous Catholic families, and the warmth of our extensive circle of close friends. We live in the exclusive and wonderful Cherry Creek School district. We share an intimate and warm home with our two cats. The child we desire to add to our lives will be nurtured in the most loving environment imaginable, and we greatly anticipate his or her arrival in our lives.

Hi, we are Jerry and Michelle and we would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about why becoming parents through adoption has been a cherished dream for us. Jerry and I both come from very loving, caring and supportive families. We value the opportunities we get to spend time with our families because how much it means to us. Both of our families are very excited about us starting our family through adoption. 

     Jerry and I have been married for 8 wonderful years. We met in June 2000 and married June 2003. What drew me to Jerry the most was his warm, fun, loving and adventuresome personality. He brings a wonderful, innate sense of humor into our marriage, which allows us to have a lot of fun together and laugh through the tears during difficult and stressful times. What drew me to Michelle was her beauty, intelligence and warmth. I love her ability to take charge and get things done in any situation. I also have this ability to make her laugh, especially when she is upset or feeling overwhelmed. 

     Activities we enjoy doing together are hiking, camping, traveling to warm climates, playing with our two little Yorkies Cooper and Comet and listening to live music. Jerry has a talent vocally and has been the lead singer in various local bands and enjoys playing the acoustic guitar. 

     Michelle has had a career in the school system working directly with children teaching them social skills and an educational background in childhood education. This experience will only help her be a better parent. 

     Jerry and I have been trying for several years to become parents and we both feel strongly that our family is not complete without children. We want to express our deepest, heartfelt gratitude for considering us as adoptive parents for your child.
