Thank you for considering Adoption Options, a longstanding colorado adoption agency. We are very aware that you are facing a most important life decision. We recognize the importance of each family’s uniqueness and by working with our experienced and caring professionals we will help you to determine if adoption is appropriate and if so, design the best adoption plan for you.
As you are gathering information about adoption and inquiring about the services provided by different adoption agencies, it can get confusing. We would like to point out some unique qualities about our program. The first is that the fees stated on the Fee Schedule are a flat rate for all our services, so there are no financial surprises at the end. If a birth parent doesn’t proceed with an adoption plan, you continue with the adoption process with no additional costs. Second, we encourage adoptive families and birth families to consider the long term needs of the child and themselves in determining what dynamics will work best for them, so generally our placements range from semi-open (communication only through the agency) to totally open (full disclosure of identifying information). We ask all adoptive families to sign a communication agreement which consists of photos and letters to be sent through the agency to the birth parents for a minimum of 5 years. The current wait time is approximately eighteen to twenty-four months.
