Hello, I’m Rich and this is my wife, Erin. Eight years ago we realized the “normal” way of building a family wouldn’t work for us. We came to Adoption Options and they helped our son Morgan and his birth-mother find us. Three years later we realized that we were pretty okay at the parenting thing (Morgan hadn’t eaten any sharp objects and was astoundingly good at everything – for which we jokingly take complete credit) and came again to Adoption Options. They helped to connect us with our second birth-family and our daughter, Quinn. She is truly blossoming, loudly and with style.

Now we’re back for more because, frankly, we feel there is another child out there that will fit in our busy, goofy, wonderful family. They need us and we need them.

Now for the particulars. Erin and I have been happily married for 17 years. We’re not perfect but are truly committed and loving and that lets us get past the bumpy spots. Erin loves to run, and is very good at balancing her career with the demands of our equally busy kids. I love fixing the house up, doing laundry while watching movies, and legos when I’m not working. Our enduring dream is to have a successful and happy marriage and family, so we keep first things first. Our kids endure high expectations paired with higher levels of love and support. We all love spending time reading at bedtime, playing games and spending time with our friends and family.

We’re not a “normal” family, but we’re keenly aware that we haven’t met any truly “normal” families. Our not normal is just a little more visible. We love where and who we are.
